Each year, United Way of Central Oklahoma hosts a reception for its Leadership donors (those who give $500 or more to the annual campaign). It's an opportunity for us to thank them for what they do.
The 2011 invite featured a sketch of a redbud tree, Oklahoma's state tree. The redbud tree is one of the first plants to bloom in the spring here and it's beauty is pretty incredible, so I like to use it as a symbol of our Leadership donors' willingness to lead the charge when it comes to offering their time, talent and financial resources to the campaign. It was also used as one of the icons in the 2013 Leadership Book.
2012's invite was one of my favorites - I love how the flowers turned out. The reception takes place in May and we usually hold it outside, so I always try to incorporate bright colors (same with 2013's invitation).
