Employee Campaign Coordinators
(or ECCs for short) are the employees
within local companies that work with United Way staff members to run
their organizations' giving campaigns. They work hard to ensure that
their campaigns are successful, so we like to give them a treat at the
end of it all.
Typically, I base the design of the card off of the gift that they are to receive (free ice cream cone, free Sonic drink, etc.), but this year the donated treat was very last minute, so I was forced to create something more generic. The theme for the campaign these ECCs had run was 'back to school', so I created a chalkboard look. This is one of my favorite things I've done - I hand-lettered the front of the card (as seen in the sketch), as well as the image at the top of the back. I loved getting to do something different that required some serious pencil work.
