United Way of Central Oklahoma wants its donors to know they are appreciated, so each holiday season we send cards to certain levels of our donor base. We used to send a holiday card around Christmas, but found that they were getting lost with all the other holiday cards. So two years ago, we switched to a Thanksgiving card and it actually worked better because we were able to make play on the name of the holiday (you know...Thanksgiving...thanks FOR giving) - we're pretty clever.
We send two different cards - one for United Way of Central Oklahoma donors (the card on the right) and one for State Charitable Campaign donors (the card on the left). The State Charitable Campaign (SCC) is one of the five other charitable giving campaigns that is run and coordinated out of United Way of Central Oklahoma's office. We are responsible for their materials, as well as ours.
I wanted this card to be fun - the first thing I think of when I think of Thanksgiving is pumpkin pie (who doesn't?). So, I started there and this is the result.
